Ste Lloyd began his novitiate a few days ago with the Salesians after a year of pre-novitiate and a year of volunteering. If all goes well Ste will make his first vows as a Salesian in late August 2015. Keep him in your prayers because this is the year when spiritual strength and conviction are developed for the future.

Signposts discernment residential weekends

    At Savio House near Macclesfield

I have come so that people may have life and have it to the full.”(Jn 10.10)

This one way in which Jesus expressed his own vocation.

This weekend will explore some of the principles of discernment in the light of that call to life and also to to self-sacrifice.

The weekend will identify some principles of discernment by recognising some of the ways in which God has already been speaking on each person’s journey so far. It will then use principles of discernment to enlighten that journey through the experience of scripture, sacraments, wisdom figures of the church and also the signs of the times.

At the end of the weekend participants should have grown in confidence in being able to recognise the way that God guides them and how that direction can be clarified through the discernment tradition of the Catholic Church.Participants will receive a discernment toolkit at the end of the weekend.

Please contact Fr David at the email address attached and register your interest .
